Why are there different versions of the Bible?
The Short Answer
The Bible has been hand-copied and translated for thousands of years, which is why there are different English versions. The Church uses the King James Version. The 8th Article of Faith says we believe the Bible 'as far as it is translated correctly,' and the Joseph Smith Translation restored some passages.
