Do Latter-day Saints believe in the Trinity?
The Short Answer
Sort of — but not the way most other churches teach it. We believe the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are three separate beings perfectly united in purpose. That's what Joseph Smith saw in the First Vision, and it actually lines up with the original Bible (see Acts 7:55–56).
