Do General Authorities get paid?

The Short Answer

Full-time General Authorities get a modest living allowance so they can serve full-time without holding another job. The Church has openly explained this. The money comes from Church business returns — not from your tithing. Almost everyone else (bishops, stake presidents, Young Men leaders) serves for free.
